Kids Stores in La Mesa

Grossmont Center is the perfect place for families! We have kids stores where parents can get everything they need for their families—and fun things for kids to do with their parents.

Grossmont Center’s Kids Stores

Even children who aren’t thrilled to get a haircut have a blast at Kids Hair Salon. With TVs, car-themed salon chairs, and a playroom, there is a lot for kids to enjoy; parents will appreciate the range of services and the friendly stylists who are expert at working with children. A good haircut is just the icing on the cake.

Kids also need clothes for school and play. You can find it all at Macy’s. For fancier occasions, young girls can get the dress of their dreams at Samantha’s Children’s Boutique, where you can also have custom creations made. Zyda’s and Claire’s are also filled with accessories for your little fashionistas!

Don’t forget to stop by Barnes & Noble to find books for everyone in the family, as well as toys, games, crafts and more.

Kid-Friendly Activities in the Mall

A trip to La Mesa’s Grossmont Center can mean a day of full of adventures for kids.

Activities for the mini Picasso

Budding artists can make a mini-masterpiece at CeramiCafe. Let them pick from one of the hundreds of clay figurines available, paint to their heart’s content, and come back to pick up their freshly kiln-fired work of art later. (P.S. Like several of our other kid-centered activity venues, CeramiCafe is great for kids’ birthday parties!)

Activities for little ones with lots of energy

Active kids also will find plenty to do at Grossmont Center. The Playground has something to entertain every child, from bouncy ball pits to video games to basketball hoops; There’s even a separate toddler area. Parents can appreciate the clean, safe indoor playground atmosphere while resting from a busy day of shopping at Grossmont Center. At Dance Dayz Studio, children of all ages can learn a variety of disciplines in dance classes ranging from ballet to hip hop. Even tiny dancers can start off on the right foot with parent-and-child classes. Children who want to soar even higher through the air can enroll in classes at SD Gymnastics to learn the foundation of the sport in a safe and encouraging atmosphere.

Activities for the visual kids

One of the Center’s most unique kid-friendly spots at Grossmont Center is the Model Train Display. Kids (and kids at heart) can spend time chatting with members of the San Diego S-Gaugers Club and admire the countless hours of work that went into these meticulous displays. Interactive buttons even let children pretend to be train engineers!  When it comes to spectacles of another kind, kids and their families can watch the latest movies at Reading Cinemas Grossmont with Titan XC. With state-of-the-art screens, tasty concessions, and affordable prices, movie-going is a blockbuster experience!

The fun doesn’t stop at mealtime

Naturally, kids tend to get hungry. Stave off the cries of, “What can I have to eat?” and take the kids to Chuck E. Cheese. The pizza, arcade games, and entertainment will keep everybody happy!
