Visit the Easter Bunny

The Center’s beloved Bunny Hut offers the incredible opportunity for your family to get some quality face time with the one-and-only Easter Bunny! Through April 20, you can come to the Courtyard’s colorfully decorated gazebo and visit the cuddly bunny. You can even purchase a photo for a special keepsake souvenir! If you have little ones, avoid waiting in line by scheduling a time and date for your visit online.

Join GC’s Easter Egg Hunt

Families have a blast roaming the Center’s shops and restaurants during the popular annual Easter Egg Hunt. From 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. April 20, kids can get Easter bags from Guest Services and track down treasures at all participating GC tenants. We’re talking goodies such as candy, tiny toys, and even store coupons! In between hunting for eggs, kids can enjoy face painting, crafts, and balloon animals. Don’t miss out on the Easter fun!

Host a Picture-Perfect Easter Party

Are all your relatives coming to your house for Easter? Create an inviting and appealing ambiance with decor themed for the Spring holiday. Pier 1 Imports and Cost Plus World Market have everything you need to turn your home into a delightful Spring wonderland. Find just the right home decor accent piece such as a gilded vase or embroidered throw pillow, or whimsical Easter decorations including adorable felted bunny figurines and delicate beaded eggs. If you’re serving an elaborate meal, you can create a stunning tablescape with pastel-colored serving pieces, flowered candle holders and table runners, and water goblets in rosy pinks or lush greens that perfectly evoke Spring.

Give a Thoughtful Gift

If your family members are far away, show them you are thinking about them at Easter. Elam’s Hallmark at GC has a fantastic selection of Easter cards that will convey just how much your loved ones mean to you. Plus, the shop has an amazing selection of seasonal gifts. Commemorate your grandbaby’s first Easter with a fluffy stuffed animal, or send your mother a token of your affection with a necklace she’ll treasure. You can also say “Happy Easter” with flowers: Perfume Flora crafts gorgeous, custom floral arrangements that can be delivered locally or nationwide.

Find a New Easter Outfit

Frilly Easter bonnets may be out of fashion nowadays, but you still want to look your best for this important spring holiday. The males in your family are sure to be dapper in suits and ties from Men’s Wearhouse, while little girls will swoon over the enchanting dresses and hair accessories at Samantha’s Children’s Boutique. You can find a terrific variety of women’s dresses, or do some one-stop shopping for the entire family, at Macy’s. Spring fashion is definitely in bloom at the Center!

Nail Your Easter Look

You’ve got the outfit! Now you just need to add a little polish—nail polish, to be exact. Spring calls for sandals and open-toed heels, so you need to prep your feet by shedding any rough winter skin on your heels or softening calluses. Splurge on a luxurious pedicure, the kind where your feet are buffed, massaged and lotioned by an attentive nail technician who then bedecks your toes with color, like a soothing lilac, cheerful coral, or vivid fuschia. GC has excellent nail salons at Avia Salon & Day Spa, Paradise Nails & Spa, and Spa & Co. (where you can even enjoy a  cocktail with your nail services!). You’re sure to enjoy the experience so much, you’ll probably want to make it a mani/pedi!

Feast on Easter Brunch

Thanksgiving and Christmas have the reputation as the most food-centric holidays, but don’t count out Easter! In addition to all the candy hidden in Easter eggs (see below), the holiday also typically includes a lavish brunch that will leave you feeling happy and satisfied for the rest of the day. Claim Jumper’s Easter brunch offers a cornucopia of savory and sweet scratch-made classics. Enjoy an omelet bar, a carving station, pastas, pizzas, classic breakfast dishes, and scrumptious homemade desserts. Accompany your choices with sparkling wine, mimosa, Bloody Mary, or other tasty beverage of your choice, and make a toast to a delicious Easter!

Get Plenty of Easter Candy

Who doesn’t love the excitement that comes from cracking open the halves of a plastic Easter egg, eagerly anticipating the treat waiting inside? When you need to fill up your Easter baskets this year, stock up on sweet treats at the Center! Candy Paradise is a self-serve emporium bursting with gummies, licorice, taffy, chocolates, and the largest selection of Jelly Belly flavors in San Diego. If you’re planning a big egg hunt for lots of kids, you can buy your treats in bulk at Candy Pros and customize the blend of sweets for your Easter eggs. (Don’t forget to buy some champagne-flavored gummy bears, so the kids don’t have all the fun!) For anyone whose tastes run more towards traditional chocolate bunnies, See’s Candies is your go-to spot. While you’re there, pick up some chocolate eggs filled with popular (and mouthwatering) flavors such as Scotchmallow and Bordeaux. It’s too bad the Easter Bunny only comes once a year!

One of the reasons Grossmont Center is more than a mall is because we cherish holiday traditions and celebrations, just like you. These are special times of the year, and we want the Center to be a place where you can make cherished memories, and find everything you need to make your holiday planning as seamless as possible. Come to GC this Easter season and celebrate with us!
