The event is a free service to everyone to properly dispose of their computer obsoletes, and at the same time, help reduce improper and illegal dumping in our city and landfills. More importantly, the event helps protect our planet from various toxicities from reaching our soil and environment.
E-Waste includes: Computer Monitors, Television sets, PC Systems, Printers, Laptops, Copiers, Scanners, Fax Machines, Toner Cartridges, UPS & PDAs, Power Supplies, Main Frame Units, Networking Equipment, Mother Board Systems, VCR/VCD/DVD Players, Home Entertainment Systems, Landline and Cellular Phones, & Small Portable Devices. We also accept car and forklift batteries. There is a $5.00 service fee for Microwave Ovens. We do not accept: Refrigerators, Washer and Dryers, Fluorescent Light Bulbs, and Household Batteries.
Please come show your support for a cleaner environment by sending e-waste away from our city and landfills to the appropriate recycling process.

A pop-up art exhibit sponsored by Grossmont Center and The La Mesa Arts Alliance, a division of the non-profit La Mesa Parks and Recreation Foundation will open on Friday, July 18, 2014 through Sunday August 31, 2014. Artwork in the exhibit by students and artists in La Mesa and environs will include drawings, paintings, ceramics, etchings and photography.

A Mall Walker is any person enrolled in the free walking fitness program offered by Grossmont Adult School in cooperation with Grossmont Center. Each person who signs up receives an information packet on stretching, tips for safe and comfortable walking and mileage records.
Walkers who wish to take part in this free program may enroll any Saturday morning in the Garden Food Court at Grossmont Shopping Center, 5500 Grossmont Center Drive in La Mesa. A health educator leads a "stretch and walk" at 8am and 9am. If you'd like more information please call 619-644-3555.
Grossmont Center’s courtyard is the venue for annual Summer concerts, Santa’s house and many special events throughout the year. Surrounded by seasonal landscaping with benches and tables with umbrellas, provides a lush park-like setting for our guests. It’s a perfect place to enjoy an outdoor lunch, a place to rest in-between shopping or just a nice walk with the kids or leashed dogs.
